First BRICS Skills Standardization Conference and the BRICS Skills Standardization Working Committee were established!

On December 12, 2022, Beijing time, the first BRICS Skills Standardization Conference and the founding meeting of the BRICS Skills Standardization Working Committee were successfully held online.
This meeting was organized by the Skills Development Working Group of the BRICS Business Council. A total of 29 experts in the field of standardization from BRICS countries participated in the meeting online.
This meeting revolves around three major themes. The first is to revise the "Charter of the BRICS Skills Standardization Working Committee under the Framework of the BRICS Skills Group" (hereinafter referred to as the "Charter"); the second is to introduce competition group skill standard cases by Chinese expert representatives; the third is to hold the BRICS Skills Standardization Work Committee establishment ceremony.
Members of the Skills Development Working Group of the BRICS Business Council and members of the BRICS Skills Standardization Working Committee gathered in the cloud to provide valuable opinions on the revision of the Charter and the sustainable development of this work, and on the group standard format, content, templates, and display platforms, etc. to communicate and discuss and share best practices.
Dr. Liu Zhenying, leader of the Skills Development Working Group of the BRICS Business Council (China), delivered a speech at the establishment ceremony of the BRICS Skills Standardization Working Committee. He said that the BRICS Skills Standardization Working Committee is a task group dedicated to future skills standardization work in BRICS countries under the framework of the BRICS Skills Group. It is responsible for coordinating and planning the curriculum development and standard formulation of the BRICS Skills Group in specific fields. It aims to promote the coordination and mutual recognition of group standards, jointly develop future skills courses, solve current skills training bottlenecks, improve and improve the quality of education and training, and cultivate future skilled talents. He emphasized that the BRICS Skills Standardization Working Committee will continue to organize and carry out the formulation, promotion, cooperation and exchange of standards around future technical skills, digital technology skills, artificial intelligence technology skills and other fields, and give full play to the forward-looking, guiding and coordinating role of standards. , to promote the development of standards undertakings in BRICS and other emerging markets and developing countries.
