The Discussion Meeting on the Working Draft of BRICS Group Standard for Skills, Curriculum and Competition Standards of Robotic Process Automation was successfully held

On the evening of July 22, the discussion meeting on the working draft of BRICS Group Standard for competition, skills and curriculum standards of Robotic Process Automation organized by the BRICS Standardization Working Committee for Skills and Technology (referred to as BRICS-SWCST), Technical Committee 2 on BRICS Technology and Skills of Standardization Administration in Xiamen, China; and hosted by The Intelligence of Future (Beijing) Education & Technology Co., Ltd and BRICS Academy of Skills Development and Technology Innovation (Xiamen) , was successfully held. The meeting adopted a hybrid online-offline format. Over 60 participants attended, including experts, scholars, and corporate representatives from China, Brazil, South Africa, Russia, Indonesia, and other countries in the field of Robotic Process Automation, with 13 international experts joining the discussions.


The meeting focused on exchanging and discussing the working draft of BRICS Group Standard for competition, skills and curriculum standards of Robotic Process Automation, which were launched in 2024 and led by China to compile the BRICS group standards. The standards aims to establish a standardized talent development system and cultivate high-end skilled professionals for China's industrial transformation, providing robust support. Furthermore, it will build an internationally recognized bridge to deepen vocational education cooperation among BRICS countries and beyond, while promoting the exchange and mutual learning of cutting-edge technologies. This effort will inject strong and lasting new momentum into the coordinated development of global vocational education and technological ecosystems.

Ms. Tri Mumpuni Lskandar, the chairperson of the Indonesia Section of BRICS Business Council Skills Development, Applied Technology and Innovation Working Group (referred to as BBC STIWG)£¬the Director of the Board of Directors of Indonesia's National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), and the Chairperson of the Indonesian Foundation for Business and Economic Democracy (IBEKA), delivered an opening address and keynote speech at the conference. She highlighted the development and application of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in Indonesia, while expressing gratitude for participating in this symposium.

Dr. Wu Jianfeng, member of BRICS-SWCST and Director of the Standards Department at BRICS Academy of Skills Development and Technology Innovation (Xiamen), conveyed Dr. Liu Zhenying's recognition of the successful completion of RPA project standards work, expressed gratitude to the drafting working group experts, conveyed support for standardization activities,and congratulated the smooth convening of this conference. He also relayed Dr. Liu's expectations for more international experts to join the drafting team and shared visions for advancing standardization efforts together.


Dr. Liu Zhenying, the chairperson of the China Section of BBC STIWG and the Chairman of the BRICS-SWCST, attended the meeting; Dr. Jacobus Greeff, a member of BRICS-SWCST£¬Associate Professor from Belgium Campus iTVersity South Africa; Valerio Junior Piana, a member of BRICS-SWCST, from Brazilian National Service for Industrial Training (SENAI). 

Zhao Shan, General Manager of The Intelligence of Future (Beijing) Education & Technology Co., Ltd and representative of the lead organization for the BRICS Group Standard "Robotic Process Automation", presented to attending experts the progress and future plans for establishing this standard. She expressed hope to collaborate closely with educational institutions, enterprises, and industry organizations across BRICS countries to jointly address the gap in international standards for RPA technology education. The development of the "Robotic Process Automation" standard marks a significant milestone in BRICS nations' joint efforts to advance digital talent cultivation, technological innovation, and skill development.


At the meeting, the chief editor units of the standard drafting working group of Robotic Process Automation of the BRICS Group Standard including Shanxi Finance & Taxation College, SHAANXI TECHNICAL COLLEGE OF FINANCE & ECONOMICS, and Jiangxi Vocational College of Finance & Economics attended the meetingOne side, representatives of the editorial unit (Jin Xiaochan from Shanxi Finance & Taxation College, Niu Xiaoai from SHAANXI TECHNICAL COLLEGE OF FINANCE & ECONOMICS, and Zhang Xu from Jiangxi Vocational College of Finance & Economics) presented their respective achievements in professional development, standard formulationand international collaboration. And another side, they also elaborated on the background of drafting three standards covering competitions, skills, and curriculum, while providing feedback on collected opinions from various stakeholders.






The discussion was led by the following participants: 

Dr. Rafael Maestrelli and Mr. Uberdam Junior Cavaletti, from Centro Universit¨¢rio SENAI; Budi Prawara chairman and Dr. Roni, from the Electronics and Informatics Research Group at Indonesia's National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN); Marcelo Vivacqua President, from Brazil International Inventors Scientists and Entrepreneurs Association (ABIPIR; and Invited expert Dr. Danilo PatesAnd other international experts, as well as Chinese experts attending the conference participated in the discussion.
